Canoeing and Camping Expeditions (4 days/3 nights)

This Package is for four (04) days and it caters for the minimum group of 02 up to maximum six (06) guests. The program is for guests who are physical fit because the arduousness makes it unique, as it shows the Amazon Rain

Forest to the guest in all its natural form and beauty. For the duration of the package, guests will be sleeping in hammocks and will be accompanied by a trained Rain Forest Guide. The package starts in the morning, as such guests arriving in the after-noon or at night will have to over night in a hotel in Manaus. Cost of hotel is not included in cost of package but can b, with your permission.

Pick up by car at hotel, guests will transfer to the port of Ceasa, where guests will leave car and take a speed boat, to cross from the Negro River to the Solimões River. Guests will visit the famous Meeting of the Waters (the Negro River meeting the Solimões River to form the Amazon River). Arriving at Careiro on the Solimões River, guests will leave speed boat and again travel by car for about thirty ( 30 ) minutes - forty (40 ) kilometers on the trans Amazonian Highway - BR319 to the Araça River. Here guests will take another speedboat, traveling for nearly two (02) hours on the Mamori River. On the way, guests will have a chance to see many different species of birds and caimans (a South American relative of the Crocodile). Arriving at the (Caboclo`s house native tour Guide), guests will Prepare hammocks and have lunch. After lunch a little relaxation time, after which guests will go for tour in a small canoe. Go to the Base Camp to prepare for the camping that night, remember lights only during day light. Dinner cook fish and beef on fire, salads, fruits all fresh and mineral water for the cooking and drinking. After dinner, guests will go on a nocturnal excursion to spot Caimans, and listen to the sounds of the Rain Forest at night. During this excursion, your tour guide and your Rain Forest native tour guide will try catch a caiman by hand. The history, physical characteristics, and the gestation period will be explain to guests, not only these animals but also many others we can come across during the night, maybe big Tapir, Capybara, Spotted Jaguars or even birds as we always say in the Amazon we never know what we can bump into. Return to the (Base Camp fall into hammocks, try, and get to sleep). If you wish can have a little bit of Caipirinhas before, some cachaça (the Brazilian Rum with sugar lemon and Ice will help you to fall a sleep or knock you out). Just for moderated consuming.

After breakfast another Rain Forest Hike - The Amazon Rain Forest is made up of different types of  forests, which has got different Eco - Systems and is also the home to different species of  vegetation, animals, birds, and insects, this trekking will help you to see and to understand better the Amazon Rain Forest. and tree climbing and swinging on the vines like Tarzan and Jane use to do, we look for the strongest vines and trees and hope not to fall, just joking all we do make sure that is safe.


After lunch guests, with their Tour Guide and native canoe driver will fish for dinner, with hand lines and rods. Various species of fish are in the Amazon; your guide will give you the name or names and characteristics of any fish caught.


After dinner guests will go spear fishing and bow and arrow how we native fish man do to catch fish, not easy have to be very quiet and no moon light that night.

Bird Watching Tour.


After breakfast guests will visit different native families to be able to see at first hand how these families live along the waterways of the Amazon. Guests will also visit a manioc native production for consume, where your tour guide will explain the method of agriculture that the natives use and why. In addition, how manioc is plant, harvested, and process.


Short relaxation period, after which guests will go Piranha Fishing, I hope you do fishy something or else no dinner, just joking!!!


Free Night to sit around fire on the darkness of the jungle with surrounding sounds. Should guests wish to do a nocturnal excursion please inform your guide.


Early Morning Tour Birds, Grey Dolphins, Pink Dolphins and with luck we

might see some river Otters.


 After breakfast guests will do a reconnaissance tour of the Igapó (annually flooded forest) this is the best place to do canoeing under canopy of the big Amazonian rainforest, I am sure you love to see and take all pictures as you go by this creeks cutting through the jungle.


After guests will go to a native's house (on the Tracajá Lake Maia Family).Free Time to relax and have a swim in the river before return back to Manaus.

Return back to Manaus plans to be back around 05:30 p.m.

Transfers In and Out to the Base Camps, hammocks with mosquito nets, all food (breakfast/lunch/dinner), during the meals mineral water and exotic Amazon native fruit juice, all tours according to program and English or Spanish speaking tour guides.

Bring along Insects repellents, sunglasses, binnocle, hat or cap, comfortable clothes, tennis shoes or saddles and raincoat.
